As a child, your twin sister disappeared through a "hole" in the ice while ice skating in Central Park. Now as an adult, you receive a mysterious package with an invitation to find out the truth of what really happened to her. Will you ever see your sister again? You accept that invitation, and you wind up battling against ice monsters to save the snow kingdom from the evil sorceress. You will use a medallion, which is only charged upon performance of good deeds. You are given a snowman helper from Santa to reach items in higher places or in small areas. The graphics are crisp and clear using many bright colors. The scenery is reminiscent of a holiday village in Europe, with its snowy, past century ambiance. The inventory is labeled but not interactive. The HOS are varied, such as word lists with interaction; progressive silhouette; and find pairs of related items. You can customize your mode of difficulty, as well as choose your mode of difficulty for the puzzles. I thought the puzzles were fun where you had to work some out a bit, like the one where you place holders on several shapes and create a connection to move a ball to its dish. They were relative to the holiday. There are lots of items to collect in each location, including in the puzzle pop-ups. This is where the decent aspects end. The map was terrible! It did not note any objectives or available actions so you are running around trying to find what needs to be done. There was no journal and no back button. The map, hint button, and strategy guide were all cramped together causing accidental tapping on undesired function. The only collectibles are presents scattered around, and they are too easy to see. Nothing unique for the extras. Each time you earn an achievement, the game decorates a room for you - how challenging! I experienced numerous glitches and was kicked out several times. This was an older game lacking any innovation that we have seen in other games. We have not had a decent game since Puppet Show, and it is time for some early Christmas presents in the form of some better games containing innovative game mechanics. I guess I will be checking out Black Friday sales to find something I missed.

Great game so far

I don't know why people are giving this not good reviews. For 2.99 it's a very decent game. I like most of the games by developer ERS. Most have great graphics and story lines. I've played other games but ERS games are most of what I purchase. It's too bad big fish has decided not to offer free trial periods so I do not plan on purchasing too many more games unless they change it back. Anyway for 3.00 it's a great game.

Lame, lame, lame!

Tcata888

Pathetic! Running around and just a bunch of nonsense. I'm going to finish, as I always do, but so painful!

Come on Big Fish what's the deal with no Free Trials

Spirit Deer

Big Fish stop forcing gamers to pay for apps before we get a feel if we are going to like it or not. I am done purchasing your games till you bring back the free trials or charge us less than the rip-off of $6.99. Don't get greedy Big Fish because that is what it seems like!

Christmas Eve

I absolutely hate this game! I have the right object, but the game won't let me it. Sometimes it takes 6 tries before the game will accept the object and let you move on. Awful game. I'm usually very pleased with Big Fish Games, but I'm going to get my $ back for this one. If I could give it ”Minus Stars" I would. Very disappointed.

Christmas Eve

From Moberly

I enjoyed this game. It has a good story line, nice mini games and good graphics.

Why?

What a pointless terrible game! This will definitely take a person right out of the Christmas spirit! Map was no help and wrong most of the time. Story and the plot were pathetic. Also, if things are not done in the correct order you cannot progress. Had to restart and then still had glitches. What a Huge disappointment. P.S. Trials should come back Big Fish - Not all types of games appeal to everyone and we ought to have a choice. KdBoots

Stop scamming us!

Really? All the names taken?

Big Fish 1. Give back free trials 2. Stop re-releasing games to trick people into re-buying them 3. If you already purchased a game, it should be in the cloud & Apple should indicate that you ALREADY OWN IT! I already own Reveries: soul Collector, but the App Store doesn't show that

Christmas Eve: Midnights Call

Very enjoyable, just not long enough!

Disappointing

Mag O'Rooney

I really enjoyed the recent PuppetShow and was hoping that this ERS game would be as innovative and fun. Sadly, not the case. The map is useless and the story was hard to follow. Some puzzles were okay. Despite that, I didn't finish the game. I, too, miss the trials and am now very reticent to purchase a game unless it is by a developer that I really like.
