I rarely write reviews but for a free app this is amazing. I love how it's so easy to share stuff amongst family members. Our house is in so much better order now.

And I don't have to print lists of chores over and over again! I love this app. It's user friendly, so easy to set up and sparks an excitement in my kids that I've never seen before.

Exactly what I was looking for

Each member of our family has this on his or her phone or iTouch. I love that each chore is personalized and that I can set them claimable by anyone so that I can claim chores I had to do when the kids didn't, thus talking points away from them. With the paid version, we were also able to set personalized goals and rewards. The push notifications remind everyone when chores are due and when someone marks a chore as done. It really is the perfect app for us.

I've been investigating an app to use with my teenagers to help them keep track of chores. This one comes the closest. My main wish is that the full features were available for a set price rather than an ongoing fee. I would be willing to pay $3 or $4 on each device to have something that works how I want it, but not $20/year. Pros--This is one of the only chore apps I have seen that allows for "anytime" chores. Some chores, like unloading the dishwasher, don't happen on a regular schedule. This app allows you to have chores that repeat, but aren't scheduled. I also like that chores can be unclaimed. This allows my kids pick what they want to do. Another positive is the ability to rotate chores so the kids can take turns unloading the dishwasher without the fights about whose turn it is. Finally, it isn't cutesy. So many of the apps spend too much effort on avatars and cute tricks rather than functionality. This is better for using with teenagers. Cons--The ongoing gouge to your wallet. As I said, I would be willing to pay--once. On each person's device, even. It is difficult to "unclaim" a chore. You just click a button to claim it, but if you realize you hit the wrong one, you can't just click "unclaim" or something. You have to go in and edit the task. Other suggestions--It would be great if you could take away points for bad behavior or bad grades. The ability to see only all the unclaimed chores.

As new homeowners we were completely overwhelmed by all of the routine maintenance that needs to be performed. It was great getting all of the items down and knowing we will get reminders as they come due. The only thing I would change is to add a keyword search for the list so you can quickly find the chore you are looking for.

We had a chore board on the fridge, in the laundry room, etc, but none of them worked. I got eye rolls and static when I asked if chores were done. I came across this app, and since my kids are always looking at their phones anyway, I thought I'd give it a try. No exaggeration, my life has become SO MUCH EASIER since getting Chorma! No nagging, no avoiding doing chores, and best of all, they are even asking to help with my chore load. I think maybe they finally see how many chores I have, compared to what I ask of them. And I haven't even set up the rewards yet! We are having a great summer and I can finally join in the fun instead of worrying about what won't get done. Best money ever spent on an app!!! I will sing the praises of Chorma for all to hear!!!

Gamechanger for my household

This genuinely revolutionized my household. No more bickering about who does more or refusing to do chores out of resentment until the playing field is even. This app gives serious motivation and provides accountability. I know that each task I do will not be taken for granted, unnoticed, or unaccounted for. It's very rewarding to watch points rack up. I love the point customization. I wish there were more options for organizing tasks, not just by due date but by personalized folders. I also wish claiming a task and not doing it were penalized. Other than that, awesome!
