I like it, but one thing

#1crap

I like this app, and I have used it for a few years now, and have told other people about it. The one thing I don’t like is that it will say I’ve stopped walking, when I have not. I really don’t see the need for it to tell me that anyway. Weather I’m walking around my house or at work, I’m still walking but not all of the time. It even dose it when I’m walking on some trails or around the neighborhood. I have to constantly check it to make sure it hasn’t shut off. It’s ver frustrating.

Disappointed

Just walked 11000 steps. My Fitbit, and my app called Pacer registered about 3.5 miles. This app only credited me with 1.5 miles to the charity. I will not do this anymore. Deleting the app from my phone.

Wish it would work better indoors

Charity User

I like the app and how it allows me to work out with a team, but I wish it would work more consistently especially indoors. I find I’m often losing out on miles at my gym track, and there’s really no point using it if I’m on a treadmill, my miles just don’t track.

Really like the App

I really like the app and helping put my friends charity. The recent update changed some stuff and now I can’t see her charity which is #Teamniajourney. Now when I logon it goes to the list of charities and that charity is t listed. Not sure what happen with the last war update!

Buggy and keeps timing out

KSRVA2020

I downloaded this at the urging of my employer. They will donate to charity based on our miles. I can’t even link to my employer account using the instructions provided. I keep getting messages that it can’t connect or it has timed out. It forced to pick a charity before I could get into the app’s main page and now won’t let me change it.

Walking with a purpose

Thank you Charity Miles for giving me motivation to keep on walking! I love that my miles gives $$ to the charity of my choice!

Great!

Love the app! I just wish it would link with Apple Watch to track miles.

Do yourself a favor and download this app

Unless you’re extremely fortunate, you likely know someone who would benefit from one of these charities. If you’re not an avid runner but you’d like to be, heres your motivation: a large corporate entity (think Johnson & Johnson, Verizon, etc) sponsors your run, meaning they donate based on the miles you run for the charity you select. Hurricane recently wrecked an area you love? Habitat for Humanity is there. Want to help hungry families get through the pandemic? Got you covered. Lose your dad to a glioblastoma like me and Meghan McCain? Stand Up To Cancer loves your miles. I leaned into running a lot when I lost my dad three years ago. The grief was just too big and running gave me whatever I needed at the moment: time to process, a quiet space to grieve, a distraction when it was too much. Charity Miles helps me feel like I’m giving back. And sure, these corporations could afford to donate thousands more than what I can run, but this gives me more purpose. That’s my sob story. Everybody’s got one. If you are looking for a kind, loving community to get you started on your journey, Charity Miles has you covered there too. Honestly, you could do worse.

Hmmm not off to a good start

Too cumbersome to set up, first walk didn’t track; have no idea why as I hit start. Why can’t it just be simple. Have no idea how it syncs with charity...how do you advertise for pledges? If it weren’t for the team I am on this app would be deleted.
