Just choose a charity and get moving - Charity Miles helps you earn money for every mile you move!

This challenge term (June 1, 2016 - May 31, 2017), we will be paying our sponsorship pool (currently $500,000) to our charity partners in proportion to the miles tracked for each charity. So far, our members have helped earn over $2 million for their charities by tracking their steps and miles covered.

But we're not just about earning money for charity. Because moving with purpose changes us from within. It changes the way we see the world, and all the small decisions we make every day. All those decisions add up to impact that is far more transformational than money.

We'd love to have you on our team and encourage you to get active. Whether it's walking in the park, biking to work, running a 5k race or anything else, turn your workouts into money for charity!

How Charity Miles Works:
1. Download the app.
2. Choose your charity - we work with over 40 unique charities.

Reviews

My review of charity miles
cxdyt

I absolutely adore charity miles. I have used it for several years, I was trying to remember to use it before I go out walking. I feel that moving my body is connected spiritually to my goodwill towards other people. Knowing that the farther I walk, the more I am able to help someone else – – gives me a lot of joy and makes my exercise so meaningful.

Inconsistent recently: location issues
ecbpdx

I’ve been using this app for years. I love it, and I love the idea behind it. In the past month or so, however, it continually asks me to turn on location Always instead of just While Using App. I don’t want it to know my location Always. So now it often records only a portion of the miles I have walked. Five years ago, the app worked fine without knowing my location Always. Why has it been updated so that it no longer works in this way?

Apple Watch

I have quite running with my phone so many of my workouts do not get counted. I hope the app become available to use with GPS enabled smart watches and can evolve with current and upcoming technologies.

Location Always Permission
Justice Hammer!!!

Why does the app need access to your health data AND to have location always permission? It was not intuitive that I needed to “start” my charity walk. Too much battery drain, sorry starving kids.

Needs changes
Chatthyme

Wish there were more charity options. Also wish there was a pause button. Maybe an option for garden/ yard work, since that is very physical, would be nice.

Love it!
SRLMD

Love going on a run knowing that my efforts are helping others! I’d love it even more if there was a way to do the same thing using just an Apple Watch! Please.....

Great way to Exercise

You choose your Charity and they get money! Makes walking worth more.

App use seamless
judibk

The more you walk the better the donation to your charity. Win/win!

Make your miles count!
jgmummy

You’re already walking, why not support a worthwhile charity at the same time?

GPS broken
RyeBreadMan

I ran for a bit over 2 miles, and halfway through it stopped counting my speed and distance, ended up saying I went 1.009 miles and averaged a speed of 3 mph. Would love to know why that happened, especially because my health app tracked it correctly.
