When through a lot with my old adapter, it didn’t work, Carly helped my and send me a replacement, that’s right a new Carly adapter! Now I’m very satisfied and pleased. Thanks Carly.

This thing takes forever to scan and delete codes. The coding works ok, but the live parameters is garbage. Pretty cool app, but there are cheaper and just as good apps out there if you are scanning and deleting codes. I’m deleting and reinstalling to see if that fixes my super slow speed for diagnostics. I’m talking 20 minutes to diag, and another 20 to clear.

R50 mini doesn’t work, support is bad

Carly’s website and marketing materials not withstanding, the 2003-2005 R50 is not supported. There is no phone support. There is email support that takes ~24 hours to cycle responses and they will tell you to use a Ford instead of mini, but that only gives you engine errors. For example: It will NOT reset an airbag light. Update: Carly support responded below, but with the same useless links that do not give any functionality information for the 2003-2005 minis. In an email they tell me my car is ‘too old’, at the same time, their website clearly states, “If your car was built in 2001 or later the Carly solution should work for you and for almost all car brands in the world. You need the Carly Universal Adapter and in case of a BMW older than 2001, you need the 20-pin adapter extension, too.” Marketing: 1, Reality: 0. Apple has refunded my subscription. Waiting on a refund for the connector from Carly.

I purchased the Carly OBD adapter. It arrived yesterday. I downloaded the Carly app and paired it with the adapter. Ran a scan and then purchased the “full” version. Did a great job of taking funds from my Apple Pay account but app showed no change. Tried rebooting, .......nothing. Contacted Carly “help”, ........nothing. Very disappointed!!!!!!! Paid almost $200 for nothing!!!!!

Bimmer code more cost effective. Plus there website is horrible for returns. They don’t have any direct contact way. The hypertext link to the email shown on screen is an email address that bounces. I emailed them my return details. They got my adapter return 10 days ago. No refund. When I email them trying to show they received it. Their system rejects my email saying my case closed? What a joke. Never seen such an unfriendly system. Plus there app not great. My car had 45 faults. Lol. My car under warranty and dealer scan showed no faults? Not worth the money unless maybe you have an older car your trying to diagnose.
