Good app that could be so much more

Zy1yZ

This app provides you with consumer reports ratings and videos and details - all this information is a great aid when shopping for a new or old car. The app could do better than merely presenting information. Filtering the list of models by various criteria important to me would help me make choices. It would be nice to mark favorite models, display them in a list, and provide a side-by-side comparison. I would like to add my own notes and ratings. Finally it would help if each model had links to comparable cars. I suggest that consumer reports analyze how people shop and improve this to support them.

Trustworthy app

I have use consumer reports.com my entire life. So I did not hesitate to get the app. I like using it to shop for the value of my car and shopping for a new car. I love the road test, correspondence and feedback. So far it holds true to everything that I boast.

Good but not Excellent

pwjone1

Very good app, gives you car ratings and so forth by make and model. Could use more specs like EPA volumes, dimensions, more details on headlights, compare 2

Better than expected.

Better than expected when I looked for my next new car.

Worthless

There are not enough reviews on new cars to have content as such this ap has now value in buying a new car. They are missing brands and car models. Great idea and layout but no content.

Very Limited used car info

Rather disappointed. Navigation within the app is nice and smooth, but the used car research info is so limited (it's better for new cars). The used car ratings take a long time to load (until which time it misleadingly says 'insufficient data' rather than 'loading' or something of that nature). It only has a single reliability score and an owner satisfaction score. No further detail or breakdown, no reliability comparison across the different years, no information about any specifics of what is good and what is bad. All of that data is in their website, and I did expect some limitation in the app, but not this much. BTW I only tried the 'research car ratings' section (which is the heart of what CR does) and not the other features of the app.

Zero details

I'm used to the website where there is actual information with detail that is useful. This app was such a waste of time to download and log into.
