Promising but not quite there

Oneflapdown

As an avid vim user, this app is tantalizingly close to what I want. If this app had these features, it would be so much more useful for me: - remap caps lock to control (*must have*) - key repeat needs to work properly - control-[ should act like escape - :set cursorline support - full navigation support (control-d, control-u, H, M, L, control-e, control-y, etc) Please keep improving this app. It has great potential.

Missing Key Vim Features

ananisgood

This editor is better than most but is missing basic features like multi line tabbing, shift>w and shift>b for jumping backwards.

Nice app!

Sean Morrison

I like being able to view or write a little code on the go. There are other better apps that cost a lot more. However, this one suits my needs. I only use it a little bit. One thing though, the user interface could be cleaned up a bit. Some things are a little confusing. But overall it works and I like it.

Vim + syntax + punct. = 5 stars

Zac R

Vim key bindings, syntax highlighting, and ease of typing programming symbols is enough for this app to deserve 5 stars. Now I can write code on my phone with ease :)

iCloud Drive folder, please.

DominicMar

Could you maybe add the ability to save to iCloud Drive in a specific folder? Pages, Keynote, Numbers, GarageBand, a MATLAB app called SIMO , and many more do this, and it’s incredibly convenient.

Cool & promising

At first I thought it was just a cool editor. Then I realized there was Vim in there, all those "obscure" key mappings I learned years ago save so much time on iOS. Sure, some updates crash after a while, some don't (maybe a rare issue) but this has has great potential. There are several very good Vim "cheatsheet" apps that explain those keystrokes, the basics. On iPhone, tapping "dd" saves lots of time, for example.

I like the idea

but the app crashes. Great developer support though.

Awesome!

Marc R. Jacobs

This is a wonderful app. I have it on both my iPad3 and iPhone 4S. I use it all the time even though the VIM editor is not my preference. It also happens to be what I consider to be the only code editing app that is useful on the iPhone. When I had a question the developer himself was immediately back to me with an answer. A great product with great support at a fair price. What else could a programmer hope for?

Great App, Needs Some Fine Tuning

[OLRmy]Blaze

This app is fantastic. It's a no-nonsense approach to text editing and makes my work and coding significantly easier. However, I do have two minor complaints: When using a bluetooth keyboard, there is some lag during entry; also, the app needs to be updated to support HTML 5. Beyond this though, you're getting a really solid app for a solid price, and it works across multiple iOS devices.

Disappointed

Speeduh

Can't copy and past using iOS usual touch and drag procedure. Dropbox connection failed despite saying it worked Java text coloring is not correct. Overall difficult to use and frustrating. ???
