Three BP Locations, Three Failed Attempts to Pay

I had a reward on my American Express card with an incentive to use this app to pay for gas. I download it, added my card, and I drove to the nearest BP station that supported the pay feature. I got there and the app consistently would throw an error saying it “encountered an error” when I tapped the station I was at. I waited two days and then decided to try another BP that supported the lay feature. When I got there I was able to select the station and my pump, but when I selected my AmEx it would spin for a long time and then say “the transaction couldn’t be completed.” After that, I drove to my third BP station to try and redeem the offer that got me on this goose chase. I pulled into the station, tapped the station to confirm I was there, and BOOM - it encountered the same error as it did at the first station a few days ago. Irritated I drove to three different BPs and not one time would the app work correctly. I’m sticking with Speedway.

I keep getting emails saying the card linked to my bp and me account is invalid. The card linked is my BP Visa card! What is the problem?

At the dang gas station and system cannot recognize where I’m at. Is -5° with the windchill outside I don’t want to stand at the pump and pump my gas this app is amazing when the pay through your phone portion of it works
App is useless to use

I have never been able to get the app to work at the pump. It can’t be used to pay for gas because BP is not able to be housed in the digital wallet on the iPhone. There are many areas that have dead zones for cell service and the app won’t open when that happens. Even in areas where there is cell service the app does not work. I have filled up several times and lose out on the rewards because the app is useless. Go back to having it linked to your bp card and get the discounts that way. I may just cancel my cc anyway because so many stations have closed ,are hard to find or the station is now another brand.
Stop updating the app!

I am really tired of going to gas station to use app only to find a ‘new’ update is needed. I only want it for buying gas and tracking rewards. How many updates can there really be! At least let me use the old version while at pump so I can get gas. Thinking about stopping using BP just for that reason. So great job app people of demotivating from your product.

this app is terrible. i am sitting at a gas station listed on the “station finder” and it’s not allowing me to do anything because it’s saying “hmmm you don’t appear to be near a station” so i tried logging out and logging back in and it’s saying my login credentials are incorrect. overall absolute trash and a waste of my time i do not recommend it only causes headaches and irritation.
