Absolutely terrible

Phatkat1234

I wish the CFA Institute would stop using this app for electronic books. This app keeps crashing and also won’t allow me to highlight half the time. Absolutely terrible ??

Actual trash

First off, the reading order for audio mode on textbooks is totally broken. This app is glitchy as all hell and I can’t believe they couldn’t bother to go through the text and make sure it even HIGHLIGHTS properly with the common two-column layout. Desktop version isn’t any better. Can’t even download the book to adobe digital editions with drm cause VS has their own proprietary format for a dang PDF.

Extremely low quality

The interface is not intuitive. I can read my 5 dollar books on any e-reader app and have more tools available to me. This is a higher learning app. Higher education is one of the top grossing markets in the United States. VitalSource should have jammed this full of features. We students deserve better than this for the amount of debt we’re agreeing to and the amount of money colleges are paying for computer learning software access. iPhone 8+ not impressed nor am I impressed on my iPad mini 4.

Books no longer supported??

Maus633

All of a sudden an update causes 3 of 4 books to no longer be supported. No one mentioned this when books purchased in this format.

Works great

Good for save money and spaceport textbooks. I use iPad pro(one model old)and had no trouble. Easy to search words, smooth to next page.

Add a scribble feature please!!

scribbleplease

Can you put a feature in the app to be able to just scribble notes onto the book? The highlight feature is nice but it would be nice to quickly jot down notes too.

Could be better

HGCasey

I downloaded this app to use my online textbooks in High School. So far, I’m having no issues. However, I wish there were a way to change the background of books from white to a softer eggshell white or beige. It would make it easier on the eyes when reading.

Terrible Update

jan.cal

Previously, this app has been working pretty decently, compared to ones I've used before for other textbooks which would crash every other page turn. But since the update, it’s been laggy and less smooth in transitions like zooming it or turning pages. But primarily, why has the define option been removed when holding a word? I don’t understand that. Out of all the features, you would get rid of that small, innocent, yet helpful button. Please bring this back.

Please bring the dictionary back

alcor4ever

I used to be able to highlight a word and use the “define” function to bring up the dictionary. With the new version it’s gone. Please bring it back as it is crucial for a reading app! 1/7//2018 Additional suggestions: Please also bring back the following features that were available in the previous version: 1. Remember the last used bookmark/table of contents. Now I have to always start from the top-level menu and work my way down. This is annoying when there are many levels and I have to go back and forth between adjacent book chapter/sections. 2. All levels of the bookmarks should be hyperlinked instead of just the lower-level ones. Now a upper-level bookmark only expands to more lower-level ones instead of being able to direct the user to the upper-level section of the book.
