My God! I can’t believe how terrible this app is. I am thinking I might just return this camera in an effort to get a camera with a better software team backing it.

This app is horrible

Terrible app and needs some attention from the developers. Cloud base communication to the camera was very good at first but when I tried switching from my mobile hotspot to home WiFi all was lost.

App icon looks cheap

The new design is worse than the previous one.

New Version

I like the latest makeover. Its easier to see the time stamps and real nice to see the preview and which camera front or back picked up something. The first guy that reviewed the update is a moron, this is much better.

Perfect for its dashcam

Buggy

I am new to the Black Vue family because I seen videos of the camera on YouTube and how satisfied other buyers were of the product. I purchased the dr900s IR -2ch dash cam and installed it in my car. I downloaded the app and found several things to be buggy and other thing not making sense. For example, the Wi-Fi for the dash cam randomly cuts off. Viewing videos from the camera is buggy and choppy. Like for real, the way this thing buffers takes me WAY back to the old dial up system aol had to connect to the internet. Downloading a video clip take 10 thousand years and that’s if the download doesn’t have an issue (which has happened several time!). Oh and I did finally download a video but it is nowhere to be found on the app. You would think after spending an arm and a leg for what is suppose to be an excellent product, the app system would be top notch! It’s a pretty big let down!

Plan required?

I have two cars, each equipped with two channel DR900 cameras. I used to be able to access both of them through the app on my phone. No more. I don't want to buy any plans, thank you. I'd just like to be able to use the same login to see both cameras, like I used to be able to do. This kind of change makes the product worse, not better. Please reconsider. You make great cameras, but annoying your customers by trying to force them to buy subscription services isn't a good idea. I'll look elsewhere when these need to be replaced if this doesn't change.
