Saved some of my important footage in the internal memory section and needed to rename it, but the moment i renamed the footage.... it’s gone, no way to be found. Lost my footage as a proof of incident and gave me so much trouble after. I’ve never written a review for anything but this app deserves minus star if it is possible
Won’t WiFi connect iOS 13

Edit: get a $40 dash cam on Amazon. It’ll work much better than this junk. It’s my bad but I believed and trusted the developers supporting this product to evolve and improve. Cams are okay but try to access through a terrible app. It doesn’t work nor will it ever work. I’m a bit upset at the total lack of support. Junk. After $700 purchase and install, app is useless. Unable to connect WiFi, no camera controls, live, playback, nothing. Blamed on iOS 13, no work arounds. No updates. DR6502ch. I’m calling this the worst high end purchase I’ve ever made. What good is this overpriced camera if the app won’t work and cameras not connecting?
Redesign half-baked

Visually the redesign of the app is quite nice, but it fails at some basic things. The worst is the whiteout effect when trying to scrub through videos. This is a huge step backwards from the previous behaviors in the app.
Cloud does NOT work!!!

I have been unable to sign in to cloud for months and support has been unable to assist. Why did I buy the more expensive camera if I can’t use the feature I wanted? Response to developers: the camera itself connects to WiFi and says “cloud connected”. I am unable to sign in to the cloud on the app. I have submitted a support ticket on this twice now. I have the latest version of the app. I’ve reinstalled the app.
Video scrubbing degraded

The new app design, as nice as it looks and feels otherwise, negatively effected the way we view and scrub video timelines, and it is now very difficult to look for detail in video clips because of the darkening effect and the play/pause buttons in the center of the video screen. Otherwise I’ve liked the app. Hope this gets fixed...

I’ve installed over 100 Blackvue’s since 2018 for all different types of vehicles. This includes Teslas, Wranglers, Maseratis, and pretty much every common car out there. When people ask me what’s the best dash cam for any situation, I say Blackvue, preferably the DR900S. Out of all the Blackvue’s I’ve installed for clients, I have NEVER received a single complaint. This includes power magic pros, Cloud(live remote view) with 4G hotspot device, and battery packs. I’ve done it all and it works amazing. If you cannot get your Blackvue to run correctly, the problem is most likely your fault. If you install it correctly and accordingly to the fuse box, have the correct adapters, correct memory card, and configuration, the system will work flawlessly 1000%. Like I said, out of all the Blackvue’s I installed, I or none of my clients ever received a single problem. I will admit, when there is a problem, it’s always on my end. You need to make sure you know what you’re doing. All cars and fuse boxes are different. If you can’t get parking mode or whatever to work, that is most likely your fault. Contact a professional and have them install it. The app works beautifully. 5 stars all day. The most powerful feature in this app is the Parking Mode and Cloud. I see the ratings and reviews on this app and it has me scratching my head all day... I am not affiliated with Blackvue and I run a local car accessories shop. I absolutely love this product and app. I am extremely confident putting this is any vehicle for any type of situation, even if my life depends on it.

Selection multiple files can’t save to Photos. Only one by one? Omg. Also, app freeze after dvr turned off or restart. I was on the list of videos when this happened.

Got the 4K dashcam as aftermarket immediately after buying my new Lexus UX 250h. Knew there would be those a*hole drivers. Proven true over and over. I just point to the front dashcam under the rearview mirror they back off. However today was first time had to brake suddenly to a stop as an a*hole BMW driver swerved into my lane no turn signal cut me off. Then I moved to the adjacent lane cut me off again. So 3rd time pulled even at the red light and pointed out my dashcam. I yelled out the sunroof: Hey a*hole I have a 4K dashcam. When light turned green he stayed back. When got home and connected to the BlackVue was easy to find the video flagged as an event in red. Soon will upload to YouTube with all the other BMW a*holes.

Ok hardware. Worst software and WiFi support. Hit or miss to get anything to connect or download over WiFi direct or cloud. Their as cards die in only a month. Kinda poor quality all around. Maybe a division of Samsung??
