Great hardware - awful software and even worse customer service

Dzhafar

This is just unacceptable - with iOS 13 no WiFi support?? When this would be fixed? My other car has Thinkware and while it us not perfect - it is a lot more functional than this Pitiful (pun intended) software. Shame on you ...

Doesn’t work in most basic function

Can’t connect to the dash cam WiFi, even when my phone has successfully paired. Always just displays a message telling me to connect. I have followed all the company’s help troubleshooting online, this app is garbage

Does not connect with iOS 13

I emailed the developers multiple times while iOS 13 was still in beta and they did nothing to update it.

I’d have hoped that with something as pricey as my dashcam, that setup would just— work. Unfortunately, not on iOS 13. I used my two iPhones to test and ended up having to set everything up on my boyfriend’s Android. Please fix. (After connecting my iPhone to the camera’s wifi, then trying to connect to the camera through the app, it acts like the device isn’t on the cam’s wireless)

iOS 13 breaks Wi-Fi connectivity?

I’ve had two Blackvue cameras for over two years now. The app is ok for the occasional use you need it for. Latest issue however is that with IOS 13 I can’t seem to connect to either of the cameras to update their settings - I keep getting a dialog that tells me I need to connect to the cameras Wi-Fi when I am already connected.

Great cameras garbage software

The cameras are great quality and well designed. But this app is so difficult to use. After about 30 minutes of fiddling, I finally got everything setup. The app does what it’s supposed to do, but does so in a buggy and difficult way. It is mind blowing that in 2019, we have to endure a piece of crap app like this one.

Issue resolved ... for now.

This is my revised review as of 10-2-19: Though it took over 3 months to fix, this app works again with a simple tweak. Apples new security features require each app to ask for location permission. Apple won’t send the MAC address unless the app has location privileges, so the app can’t see the camera. The fix is this: Sign out of your cloud account (if you’re signed in), go to the map section, click on the location button, you will get the required pop up, click “only when using” for location permission, reconnect to the camera and the app will work again. The only reason it’s not a 5 star review is because it took so long to fix this issue. The app is fine other than that. An update is expected in the next week. I’ll revise if there’s any change with the next update. Why can’t they get their act together? iOS 13 has been in beta for four months now. They still don’t support it. How does a camera system that costs over $1k (when you add the biggest battery for parking mode) have such a bad app and such lousy support? I’m stuck taking the SD card out or using the cloud view. No live view or downloading to my phone allowed apparently. I feel cheated.

No iOS 13 Support

The app will not connect to the camera under iOS 13.

WiFi broken

Gerbil61

I'm connected to Blackvue WiFi and the app never acknowledges it so I can't view any footage.

Does not work with IOS 13. Simple as that. Bad app, good camera.
