These things are wonderful but they’re only limited to Santa Monica if you were to come to Culver City you get a lot more business.

The scooters are everywhere - I live in Marina del Rey and everywhere from here to Santa Monica is full of Bird Scooters. So last week decided to try the app and grab a scooter. It’s a little confusing at first - I saw scooters on the map that weren’t there when I went to grab one. I saw scooters parked that weren’t on the map. The trick is: you’re on foot and you have somewhere you want to go. Launch the app and start walking. If you see a scooter, whether it’s on the map or not, walk up and check it out in the app. You’ll scan the QR Code and if you haven’t fully set up the app you’ll need to select payment method, scan your ID, check a few “I agree!” boxes that promise you’ll be safe. The positives - an easy to use app and plentiful availability of scooters - outweigh this momentary inconvenience and introductory confusion by a mile so it doesn’t seem worthwhile to deduct a star. Five stars.

I use the app to get to work in the mornings. Over the last few days I’ve had to walk 3 miles because every location where they claim a scooter is located ends up being empty. I keep refreshing the app and it shows that the bird is supposed to be there. I appreciate the added exercise but I’d prefer not showing up to work sweaty. Highly recommend LimeBike for your scooter renting needs!! Edit: harpmesiter works for Bird.

I parked my car going to AT&T park in SF and was a mile away. There were 2 next to each other a block over and my wife and I zipped over. Totally cheap. Would recommend to anyone.
No way to report the scooter doesn’t work

Now I have to wait for the support team to resolve and refund. Support is not Quick so far. Not a good customer experience.

It's the age of convenience. I literally need you to hold my hand and have a purple line leading me to the nearest scooter
