Big mistake, don't do it!!

Circle Crew

Bindo looks good in theory, but that's the only positive thing I can say about it. Bugs, non responsive, many frustrating hours with customer service, every update loses important data, no graphics with reports, slow responses, constant updates that get worse over time. I have wasted valuable time and energy with this program and now I feel stuck and trapped in a contract. I printed out thousands of bar codes which no longer work because they updated the system again. They offered to send me a free roll of printer paper. Biggest mistake I have made in my life as an entrepreneur. PS. I can tell some of these 5 star reviews are from people who work at Bindo. I recognize their names. Brad L is most likely the owner.

App is user friendly but equipment you are required to use is shotty

cuervogold

Problems from the very beginning. Troubles keeping scanner, receipt printer, and label printer connected. Constant resets. An iPad that won't work with the scanner. Have to use my personal iPad to make it work. Bindo support team is great. But app support personnel aren't able to fix equipment problems.

Too many bugs to fix

FrustratedManager

This is the worst Point of Sale system I have ever used. Every time Apple releases an update, nothing works in the POS system and Bindo is forced to play catch up. When that happens my staff and I wait for weeks for Bindo to get the system working again and iron out all the bugs. It lags terribly even when the Internet is at full speed, it doesn't take signatures, my hardware is always being disconnected and is always difficult to reconnect. Bindo customer service is also awful. Their representatives never know what's going on, and they aren't very good at accommodating customers needs. I've never had a good experience when I've called them. I wish I had something positive to write about Bindo but I just don't. It's awful.

Reporting is wrong

Bindo hater

Do not use this pos. It's lost sales we've completed, duplicated inventory, not counted returns in our inventory, and has totally inconsistent reporting. We are currently going through a sales tax audit and bindo gives us different numbers for sales tax collected. The sales tax amount from sales tax report does not match the total sales tax collected with daily batches summed up. We thought this would be a great newcomer to the pos arena...it was easy to use. But ease of use does not overshadow the fact that this can't keep accurate track of our inventory. This is a sinking ship. Go with a more established company.

Very good system

Storeowner007

Bindo has a lot of very useful features and it works well in my store. We use it for purchase orders, managing discounts, reports, etc. I am very happy with Bindo and I would recommend it to other stores.

Scalable POS

Retailer Taylor

I've switch from other POS systems in the past, and by far this is the most scalable. I didn't experience the freedom in managing my inventory with the other systems that I have with this one. When opening my other store I thought I'd have to start from scratch, but with the help of Bindo support I was able to chain the stores, and can monitor both with my iPad. Two businesses powered on iPad! I think I'm going to open another store. I'll also say that this system is rich with features, some of which I wish I could use, but can't because of the type of retailer I am. The only suggestion I have is adding a marketing management tool of some kind so I can communicate with my clients. Although I do have a tool that does that some kind of integration would be nice. But all in all a great system for the serious business, that would love to be mobile.

Almost a winner

Never 100%

Great concept. Nice design. Great features. The inventory control and PO system are good. Their downfall is nothing ever seems to work at the same time. After one year of giving them chance after chance, update after update today broke my back. They did send out a notice that they would be down for ten minutes. It has been 90 minutes and I still cannot not access our customer base or even access my other locations at all. I will wind up going with a less user friendly POS. It is going to take 10% more of my time on the back end but, they have been in business for 10 yrs and I can count on it to work all the time every time.

Horrible

MoCo Rat

Whatever you do, don't get Bindo. The features promised online are still non existent. Mobile checkout and inventory is not available. The system has yet to accept Apple Pay, even though it's advertised on the website. The system is not compatible with EMV chip card readers even though the website had said it would be available soon since last year. Credit card processing stops working for no reason. The card reader doesn't work with the software anymore so I have to manually key in credit information, costing me more. Transactions will time out and you won't know if the sale went through or not because your sales information is missing until you reboot the system. The printers disconnect for no reason, you have to constantly delete and reinstall the software for it to operate properly. Also, it's not as customizable as you would think it would be. If someone enters product information for a particular SKU, you're stuck with that information too since it's all cloud based. They also changed the way tax codes are assigned, making it more difficult than it needs to be. It's been months since a proper update so any suggestions for improvements fall of deaf ears. If you do decide to go with Bindo, don't sign a contract.

Daily aggravation

Bindo retailer

Where do I begin? It's been one thing after another. Yes, the staff is pleasant and apologetic in response to complaints, but at the end of the day that doesn't cut it. Too many daily glitches with printers, scanner, inventory; plus reports are seriously not up to par. Charts and graphs offered on Bindo's home page don't exist. Bindo needs to suspend operations and go back to the drawing board. I'm giving it two stars because we can plod through the day with it, and sometimes even print receipts! Side note: many five-star reviews are from Bindo staffers.

Frustrations for a Year and gave up

FarmMarketManager

We used bindo from April to December. After trying to be patient with almost daily glitches, errors in reports (it really can't add the data correctly in some places), constantly going down, scales always working incorrectly, and more we finally gave up on Bindo. The interface looks nice, but there are just too many bugs. We have switched to a different iPad pos for our 20+ registers and I no longer have to spend hours with customer support. The concept is good but the day to day workings of the software still have bugs.
