Camera is great but the app needs work.

Love the camera. Both it and the app are VERY easy to get setup and linked together. However, the app freezes and crashes often even when the camera continues to respond. Recommended Enhancements. 1. App needs ability to refresh/reconnect the connection without going into settings or having to close the app. 2. App needs the ability to adjust brightness from the view screen. 3. Move the flip screen buttons from the view screen to the settings/setup. Why would you ever want to do this past the initial setup? I keep accidentally clicking them and it is a pain to get it back to normal with the app constantly crashing. 4. Please provide remote access to the camera so that I can record to an external device with other monitoring software. If someone steals my camera, they've taken the recordings with them. What use is that? The only way I can guarantee keeping the recording is if I am watching live and record through the app to my phone.
Video quality is good if it stays connected!

As others said, this is a good unit if it stays connected. I literally have it next to my router and the connection keeps dropping. It works well wired, but I plan to use it up on the ceiling without wired connection. I bought it because it's wifi capable, but it's useless if connection is unreliable for 80% of the time. I'm gonna give it few more weeks to see if an update is coming. Otherwise this is not a reliable security camera as it may miss critical events due to poor wifi connectivity. I got it at a discounted price so I can't really expect top quality, but the retail for the BH1826 is $200 which in my opinion is not worth it. BTW, the 1st unit I got was broken and this is already my replacement unit.

As other reviewers have noted the connection either never establishes or it freezes on those rare occasions when you do get a connection. Absolutely useless as a baby monitor.

Easy set up for me easiest way to connect is to scan the design code. One minor inconvenience when I unplug the camera and move to a new location the music plays all over again and I have to set up all over again. Unless I'm missing a step. Overall I'm happy with the camera. The app works well for me I can't think of anything I'd change or ask for in an update to the app. Night vision mode is excellent, I've had no drop in signal at all and the frame rate is very good. Purchased the 1080P HD Wifi version for 69$ from Amazon.

The setup was flawless. I set it up on additional devices instantly. Even unplugged and moved to a different location with zero hiccups! The memory locations for views was a super feature that was unexpected and works across multiple devices! The sound was better than expected and although slightly laggy, the mic works well too. Highly recommended! Now I can keep an eye on those lively puppies!

worked ok 6 months ago when I first got the camera, but recent updates made the app freeze and crash all the time. totally useless app. camera works fine, but app needs significant improvement

I read reviews of this product on Amazon which said the app had the functionality to send notifications to your phone when motion was detected, I have not yet found that setting if it is possible. I feel like I would have found it if the option was there because the interface of this app is so basic. I also don't see how to use the two way microphone or listen in which is listed on the apps capabilities. Somewhat puzzled right now as to how they say things about the app and product that aren't true.

The ability to save a recording from the event list would be nice or take a snapshot of something that was recorded. Easy to use app. Camera setup via the app is really easy. No directions of how to setup recording but not too hard to figure out. (Advanced Settings). When using sound and presets the screen image gets small to fit the buttons and doesn't go away unless you deselect the option, should be able to hear without image getting small. External, remote recording option would be nice (cloud storage?). Sound and voice work well but you will of course need someone else to help you test while you are in another room. Notifications can be annoying in a high trafficked area. Suggest you only turn those on when no one is supposed to be in the recording area.

I've had my cameras (purchased 3) for 5 days now. They were super easy to setup and the picture quality is decent. However, the app is almost useless. I have to restart the application literally every time I use it. Whether it's when I turn the camera, change quality, or switch to a different camera. The software has frozen every single time. I have the latest iPhone and my internet speeds average 34mbs. The whole point of my purchase is to be able to easily monitor my home. With this application all I've had is frustration. If this doesn't change in the next couple of weeks, I'll be returning the cameras.
