Unmuteable video ads

BlkbltVette

Completely ruins the app. Can't listen to anything because all I can hear is an ad for Lexus. Combined with pop ups that won't go away no matter how much you click, it's like the bad old days of 90s Internet all over again. The only thing missing is the massive loading times. Oh, wait, it has those, too. Worthless.

Is okay but will use something else

YayKnee

Used this app for over a year, sticking through even when the readability issues were rampant, but today upon opening the app I was greeted with ads playing audio, and I am not about that life. Have now deleted the app.

Used to like it, Autoplay Audio ads makes it garbage

mhayes15

I don't mind advertisements in free products. However, the advertisements start playing sound before they ever show up on your page, even if you're on a completely different screen. I've liked this app for years but it constantly plays loud advertisements without warning, so I've just deleted it.

Audio Ads now playing

PhobosThis

It was a decent app until audio ads started to auto play.

Audio ads = no Bueno

Deleting due to ads

Epigram

First the scammy pop-ups and now video ads with audio that carry over into posts. This was the tipping point.

Invasive Ads

I was a pretty devout BaconReader until recently, while using the app with headphones, I was bombarded with audio from an ad in the app (most astonishingly you couldn't even see the ad unless you scrolled) What a shame. Uninstalled!

Auto-play ads? Deleted.

Video Ads with Audio??

dutchie384

I've had this app for a long time and have never had issues. Today I started getting video ads right on my front page that automatically play once I open the app. They have audio, and there's no way to stop or mute them. Ridiculous. Delete.
