UI needs work - ditch the tiny “back” button

In a shopping app, it is critical that I’m able to swipe right to go back to browse. V annoying that the menu comes up every time I try this. It gets me every time. Most apps have this feature. Please add it. Thx!

Backcountry has been my go to site when ordering any climbing equipment. They have always been very professional and extremely fast with shipping! Their staff is very knowledgeable and ready and willing to help. Not to mention you can also find great deals all the time!! And if you can find a better deal they will normally match it!!

Ordering is very easy, but the app has trouble signing me in sometimes and may time out. Still great gear though.

Outstanding in general

It would be great to be able to view in landscape mode on the iPad. Ideally the “back” arrow would be more obvious/visible. Maybe there is a “Compare Items” function but I haven’t found it. These are small criticisms. Overall a very nice app.

I had quite a bit of trouble logging in to the app. After I logged in online first, then I was able to log into the app. Just made my first purchase and they shipped it same day! Impressive! So much better than Sierra Trading Post that took a week and a half just to get the order out their door. So far I'm quite impressed with Backcountry.

Can’t Even Log In - Happens Every Time

Every time I open this app, I’m met with a red banner notice that says “Sorry, we are having technical difficulties. Please try again later.” I want to support Backcountry, I like Backcountry. But this has more than once moved me to get something on Amazon because I couldn’t access the app. Yet the mobile website works fine. This is confusing, and quite frankly, lame. Your entire business is web/app reliant—how is this a problem that I’ve been experiencing for over a year (even after deleting and reinstalling the app)?
