It’s great for the registrar, super easy to use from that perspective. It’s a bit confusing for people trying to buy things off the registry. I wish it also gave the option to turn off the notifications when people buy you things (I don’t want to know, I like surprises). I haven’t finished using the app all together as my shower hasn’t happened yet. I’ll update my review if my opinion changes.

Too complicated for guests

I was super excited about finding baby list because my shower guests were spread out over two states so finding stores that were located in both states was difficult. Babylist was a great way to consolidate everything I wanted into one list and I spent a lot of time on my list and was happy with it until... I logged out and decided to view my registry as a guest. Babylist makes it easy for the mom to be but very difficult for the guests to buy. First, the guest has to enter their email address and name every time they want to reserve, purchase or mark a gift as purchased. So they get emails with every gift they reserve, purchase etc. I dont think this is necessary and people don’t like just giving out their email. Also, I spent a lot of time finding the stores with the best price for my guests but saw that when a guest goes to buy something, if babylist has it in their store, they automatically add it to the cart so the guest has to purchase from baby list unless they manually change it. This counteracts all the work I did finding the best price and most of my guests won’t know they can change the store so will end up paying more and purchasing from babylist store. Also, if a guest wants to purchase things from multiple stores, it will be a separate checkout every time and gets very confusing. Ultimately, I decided to delete my list I worked so hard on and go another route that will be less confusing/cumbersome for my guests. Great concept but needs a lot of work on the purchasing side.

I love having the app and that I can add anything from anywhere! I just wish there was a “group gift” option for people to pay towards an item as baby stuff is extremely expensive.

They have excellent customer service, their app is extremely easy to use and add any item. It’s clear for my guests how to reserve, shop and purchase items. I love that we got unlimited registry cards for our baby shower invites, and that I can print a thank you list of who bought what. I enjoy this app a lot.

TERRIBLE customer service

The app itself is pretty nice and easy. However DO NOT order from there website!! It is the absolute worst customer service I have ever received! I ordered a high chair and it took weeks to get it. They never sent me a confirmation email so I assumed the package was not sent and I ordered from another website. I emailed the company to cancel the order and they sent me a cancel email back, than emailed me again and said it was still being sent. They didn’t apologize ONCE for messing up!!!!!! They could of said sorry instead they said it will take 3-5 days to mail it back to them than 3-5 days for them to process AND 10 days for the refund to go to the card. That’s 20 business days for anyone counting. The worst part I emailed them back about it (her name was Heather Bond FYI) and they (she) ignored everything I said! I have a credit there and I do NOT even want to use it because of how terrible they reacted to the entire situation!!!!!
