This company only cares about money

Before this app was subscription based, it was definitely the coolest music app I’ve ever used. It was extremely convenient. I didn’t even need any of the other sounds and could easily make do if the original sounds. Now, they’ve removed most of the decent sounds and given you much less sounds that for one, don’t sound good and they don’t even go together unlike the original sounds. They’ve also made you pay to use the original sounds which you could use before. And if that wasn’t enough, if you want to edit your songs that include the original sounds, which you previously made before the update, you need to buy the subscription. I would have had no problem with this app if they would have just left the original sounds in the app for free, but now this app seems pointless and now if I actually want to make a decent beat, I need to spend money. Also I’ve used this app before so I know how well it actually runs and how convenient it is with an actual selection of sounds. But while using it recently, I found no evidence of an actual useful app. If anything, it would just benefit them to leave the sounds in. Well if you made it this far, thanks for listening to my rant. Anyways, this app was terrific and definitely the best music app I’ve used and they screwed it up big time.

All the sounds used to be free, which is amazing. Then they made some sounds that you had to buy in special packs, that’s cool I guess. Now they’ve made it into some subscription based thing and only left me with 7 or 8 sounds for free. They literally took content away. Don’t buy it.

Incredible music for starting out

The_Schenkster

For music production on an iPhone, Auxy packs a ton of stuff. Including sound packs. It offers some basic but effective automation that’s super easy to use. Labeling and color coding make organizing a snap. Overall, an incredible producing app I’d recommend to anyone, even if they have no interest in music production. The only down side I can think of (hence 4 stars) is that to get all the sounds, you need a subscription ($5 a month with 1 month free trial). Free users are limited to maybe 8 leads, 2 basses, and 2 drum packs. I’d prefer a one-time payment. Those subscription sounds are SWEET though. They also come out with new sounds every month. I think it’s worth it. If you’re looking for a music production app, this is the one you’re looking for!

Really great for getting ideas down or full tracks!

VERYLOUDMAN

Pretty intuitive once you get used to the interface. It’s pretty minimal and that’s what I like about it. For pretty cheap, you can get ideas down quick for making beats or for completing full tracks. Great sounds are available in the sound packs and they are pretty tweak-able for effects and whatnot. Give it a try.

Choose another pricing model, my God

Auxy is an excellent app — attractive, intuitive, and the sounds are phenomenal! I’m an amateur, so in my spare time to play around and practice music theory, I’d use Auxy. I’m not surprised by the new pricing model and I wouldn’t dislike it, except for the fact that I can’t even edit my old work now, the stuff I was halfway through. The app itself is basically a demo now, for me, and it’s even more annoying because I have a bunch of half-finished songs still sitting there that I have to just scrap. I loved the app but honestly, just make it paid at this point. There’s no point in it being free if the monthly subscription is for virtually every feature. Yikes.

My opinion on the update:

Genonious Jordan

I know it only just released, and I may not have gotten used to it yet, but I tried to be critical. I hope this reaches out to you. Anyways, here is some stuff I observed/felt: •I can’t feel the size or length of scenes• You could visually see the length of scenes on both the play wheel and the scene boxes, but now it feels like you’re trying to make this uniform, which I would admire, but the length was good because you could understand it just by looking at it. •It feels doesn’t feel like an open toy box, it feels like a stack of files that I have to dig through• I feel like when I want information about the bars of a scene, I have to go out of my way just to find basic stuff that was already conveniently available on the scenes displays. •I can’t even read any more than 6-7 characters/letters in a scene label.• I wish I could tell you how truest frustrated I am about this. Is it that unimportant to know a scenes context? You know you failed at a visual letter limit when you can’t fit in the name Elizabeth. •It’s like you guys never even tested this• Even when looking at the scenes, *THE MOST IMPORTANT VISUAL DISPLAY IN THIS ENTIRE APP*, you only get to see your instruments lined up like a flag. You act like some stripes are gonna help me understand what part is what. That’s silly, don’t do that. This is far too simplified. *It feels like things were move for no reason. Stuff like the export button didn’t get in the way of my music making, it’s the gateway between my content and the world, and it shouldn’t be hiding behind a stupid gear icon, it literally hindered no performance of mine. •It felt like this app is hiding more stuff than pre-5.1• It’s just dumb to see the export button in the settings. It’s not a setting, it’s an entire system made to be sharing your new tracks and samples. That’s dumb. It didn’t get in the way of anything before 5.1, in fact, I don’t even remember where it was before 5.1. It was just there and ready, and I knew that I didn’t have to go to the settings just to download a file. •The fact that you can edit while the scenes were up was something much needed though• Something I was hoping would be added was a feature to view your scene while editing stuff. You could have compressed the display while editing loops or instruments though, it’s not a big enough of a deal just to move a whole ton of icons and settings. I just hope the best for this app, because it has so much potential, and I hope It grows even more popular than now. -Jordan Lester A.K.A.: AstrWick

Was good, but...

lui-gi026

I feel like the Auxy studio has been one of my most powerful music production tools, as I can draft ideas and really get a song started quick on the app. But the new update has changed my opinion. The extremely limited choices in melodics and drums has really ruined the experience. Please please please add back all the original presets...

What the hell Auxy?

Cherryppns

After the new update I can’t access any of my pre-existing loops. I love auxy but come on, why? Now I can’t edit or do anything to 95% of the the loops I’ve ALREADY made unless I pay for premium now. This isn’t cool.

Fun and refreshing

The free sounds can make great tracks. While the subscription may scare some away, If you’re serious about making music it’s worth it!

change the update to where the sounds are free again
