Useless

I rate 5 stars so my comments aren’t deleted, this is worse game ever, we can’t deploy troops, no time to deploy troops, it won’t let me let loose troops and did I mention, it won’t let me deploy troops!?!

Overall I really love this game BUUUUUUUUUUUT Please Increase Sanity

Kanata 00

Overall I am addicted to this game and have been playing nonstop everyday until I used up all the prime sanity refreshes whoever. As we all know sanity is the stamina like stuff for Arknights however if you are F2P players the sanity is just not enough idk how long it will take for you to even elite 2 one of your 6 star and all I have to say is good luck trying to E2 your 6 star. Unless you actually use originium prime for sanity leveling up the characters or even getting materials in general is super long and slow. Therefore to try to enjoy the game will cost lots of money. Therefore please increase the drop rate or amount of the stuff (LMD, material, exp, etc) or decrease the sanity refill timer or increase the sanity limit. Also what I notice is that after lvl 50 player lvl you don’t get +1 max sanity each time you level up making it even worse. As of now my profile lvl is 70 and the max sanity limit is 126 which is only enough for 4 round of those grinding map for LMD and Exp if u do the stage 5 and it’s no where enough. I have played Yostar games and I love Azur lane however this sanity limit is actually killing my real life sanity because a 2 day times 20 sanity refill with Originium prime will cost you some where around 10$. Which fro F2P players it’s really hard to even try and compete with those P2W players in terms of characters and profile levels giving them a disadvantage in Event and others.

Really fun

I have played a lot of gachas, so I can tell bad from good most of the time. Arknights looks great, UI is clean. Gameplay is tower defense so it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but I like. Characters have nice designs, and this game is very F2P friendly. I personally am thoroughly enjoying the game and Arknights has become a part of my gacha rotation.

Sleek and Stylish; Needs Sanity Tweaking

Visuals (5/5): Great game with a modern, retro-touched UI reminiscent most recently of NieR: Automata’s digitized monochromatic design, but with more hits of color. Art style is uniquely painted among the cel-shaded anime flat-colors of this genre and imparts a grungy, yet classy aesthetic that fits the game’s somber, dystopian vibe extremely well. Character designs are functional and stylishly exaggerated for once and not just layers of visually tiresome frills upon wings upon ornaments like many other gacha designs. Pleasing to the eye overall without any of the garishly oversaturated shades common to this genre of art. Somewhat disappointed that the combat art was reduced to simple-shaded chibis, but the appeal grows on you after a while and I couldn’t think of a different way to present the combat without looking discordant with the rest of the game’s style anyway (full-proportioned characters in combat would look clumsy and awkward in limited animation, but fully 3D models detract from the 2.5D look, so I find the decision in the combat art quite carefully thought through). Gameplay (3/5): Tower defense style with the game’s own gacha twists to deployable units, though all are very viable and you don’t truly suffer from not having “enough” 5/6-stars until very much later in the game, when you will undoubtedly be guaranteed several 5-stars at the least if you manage your Orundum (in-game premium shop currency) and Originium (directly purchasable currency that can also be converted to Orundum at fairly steep rates compared to other gachas—1 USD = 1 Originium = 180 Orundum out of 600 Orundum per character pull attempt, so a little over 3 USD per attempt at a character; there are Originium deals with larger packs you buy, of course). Aside from an even playing field for the most part, the game lacks social aspects like clans/group defense missions that you team up for/even a general region chat. It plays like a fully single-player game with the exception of your base’s Reception Room operators playing Cluedo with your (probably) sparsely populated friend’s list. This is a big negative, but ultimately not a dealbreaker. What will be a huge sticking point for me, especially later, is the exorbitant costs of doing missions, especially resource farming missions. At 20+ Sanity per attempt on worthwhile runs (and 10 for the easiest one), your measly 100-200+ Sanity pool (the game’s equivalent of the action points system) will vanish like water down a drain. It’s incredibly frustrating to no longer be able to do anything (not even practice missions which cost 1 Sanity for some reason) once you’re out of Sanity, but it’s even more frustrating when you run maybe 5 or 6 resource missions and you’re out of Sanity already. The game attempts to supplant this with early Sanity replenish bonuses for new players and the ability to use Originium to replenish Sanity as the standard, but this will not last and the inevitable Sanity drain as a F2P player is the elephant in the room. Unfortunately, with such a glaring action points problem upcoming once I use up my newbie bonuses, I can’t give this game five stars for only letting me play about 10-20 minutes every day. Tweak the Sanity costs down, or a lot of players will hit that wall running.

Very solid game, one tweak and I’d be much happier

I tried to make an in app-purchase and had to change my purchase info. The app never gave me the resources, and says “trying to restore purchase” infinitely. Still, that issue aside the game has been very fun.

Yostar has done it once again

They have created a gacha game so friendly to it’s F2P’s just like with azur lane to the point that I might fail my classes just with how good this game is seriously I can’t stop playing this is a run on sentence review now. Keeping this review short so I can get back to grinding on Arknights. See you on the Battlefield, Doctor!

Has a lot of potential

Nightcore 438

Played Arknights before U.S release. This game is the anime version of PvZ and BTD. It started off similar to Epic7. New gameplay that is a hybrid of the two games I mentioned earlier with a F2P system is actually pretty neat. Players will eventually flock to it (friends inviting other friends to play) just like what happened to me.

Been well over a week, and still poor Customer Service.

For some reason my original review found its way off of here. So here’s a run down: On January 23rd, I purchased $150 worth or their premium currency after playing a few days a loving the game. Shortly after spending the money, I tried to Bind my account. I kept getting “This account is abnormal, please log in again.” I thought alright, I’ll e-mail CS and get this sorted out. I sent them everything their automated e-mail asked for; screenshots of my Guest account, what the issue was, my purchase history, Apple ID I wanted to Bind to my account, etc. Everything to make the process easier for them, and get me squared away. To date, February 6th, I have not got one single reply outside of a copy/paste response here on my other review that again, disappeared. I even sent in another CS ticket with the same information thinking maybe my original got “lost” or something. Nothing. A shame, as the game is really good and have a history of spending in games similar to Arknights. If this isn’t handled soon, just going to get a refund since they seem to not want my business.

Good game, bad ads

RageComic9001

Giving a 5* to counter all the Chinese 1* reviews (written in chinese) and complaining about no chinese language support for an EN server game, purchased from an EN apple store. Why not just make a Chinese apple account, and download the ACTUAL chinese server hosted game. Arknights ads are some of the most annoying things to have ever existed, and this is coming from right after RAID SHADOW LEGENDS. Btw, have you guys ever heard of- Actual Review: Good gameplay (tower defense game), smooth UI and animation transitions, decent 5* below rates (8% for 5*, 50% for 4*), a good pity system (2% 6* rate added to every roll above 50 rolls), good art (though chibi), and good premium currency support (2900 a week at max, or 2500 at min). Banners have guaranteed 5* somewhere in the first 10 rolls. Events are rather slow, though Yostar is pushing the EN server to go faster than CN server speed to catch up, take of that what you will. Skins are purchase only via originite prime, and are always available. Many guides on youtube about how to clear maps using f2p and low rarity units. Play if this sounds good.

Different than any
