Why block current game level to force updates

I have recently returned to this game, while in an area without reliable cell service. Please be aware that some games don’t block access as this one did. I spend an hour or more waiting for an update, and can only get access when no go into town. No service in this mountain, and I am happy without it, truth be told. I just want a few fun games to unwind in the evenings. Looks like this one can’t be one of the ones I keep.

Since the latest update the game doesn’t open and when it does, it crashes. Bummer, because I really like this game.
Glitch in 990

Stuck on level 990. I clear all the mud and pigs as required, but it shows I still need 3 more mud tiles cleared. There is no more mud visible, but there are three metal boxes. Finally I figured out that you need to hit each of the boxes with a bird. However, it only registers as a hit to the metal box if there are no mud tiles touching the boxes? Super frustrating because it looks like the only way to pass the level is to buy boosters, which I refuse to do.
Purchases disappear

Like other people said, yes it’s a money pit. I didn’t mind that BUT I do mind the purchases disappearing. I tried to contact the developer through the link but it takes you nowhere. I’ll finish using my purchased rubies I have left & delete the game. Coins & thread spools have all of a sudden disappeared also. I didn’t read the reviews before I downloaded the game but clearly I should have.

After compiling a lot of coins and threads the game starting stealing from me and not just a little bit but over 75% - this is a terrible game. Please don’t waste your time on this.

After several years, and several phones, this is still my favorite game. Makes the waiting game pass so quickly.
