Setup is a nightmare. Not what you need when sick.

nathanziarek

Three times I went through the set up process, each time the app stalling at a different point. Sometimes it was sending my health information. Sometimes it wouldn’t even get that far. Each restart was from the beginning. It didn’t remember any of my information from the time before. On your iPhone? Don’t even think about using Apple Pay. Instead, go find your credit card and manually type in all that information. Check with your healthcare provider to see if you have other options. For something claiming to be the “convenience” method of healthcare, it sure is frustrating.

I love my experience with the online Doctor. This web sight is great. When just don’t want to have to go in to Doctors office or can’t make it. Amwell is the best way to see the Doctor.

1 no show, 2 cancellations, unacceptable

Justroo

Let’s pretend you’re in need of professional help but can’t get to see a same day doctor. That’s my situation, no thanks to this lousy experience trying to secure an appointment on AmWell. The app earns 3 strikes. I deducted 3 stars, assuming everything would have gone excellent had it worked. AmWell offers no explanation or specifics to me on why the 2cancellations or 1 no show. They just give a customer service number to reschedule. Perhaps it was unfortunate timing and luck but that shouldn’t matter. When AmWell offers a professional patient care service, three chances is enough to judge it by. My first doctor wasn’t online (or didn’t pay attention) and I waited 30 minutes before logging off with no consult. The next appointment cancelled the morning of, which at least allowed me time to find another slot for the same day. 10 mins before my third appointment I received a cancellation alert. This is akin to a Skype consultation and I can guess it would be ideal you need a care ASAP. Don’t get your hopes up, though. Any patient would get discouraged after three failed attempts to get help. Not a good start!

Bad Dr

Dr Grant Hammons is a really bad dr. Put me down with really horrible bedside manor. I will NEVER use this service again. It shows what kind of company this is by the people they hire. You will see what I mean if you use dr Grant Hammons.

Love the convenience

The last thing you want to do when you’re sick is get dressed and go to the doctor. This app allows you to get well in the comfort of your own home. Perfect for allergy, cold, flu and simple heath needs. Don’t expect a warm and fuzzy conversation or use this when you really don’t know what’s wrong. Used twice now and really found it easy, convenient and professional.

Amazing app when you’ve had a history of minor infections

KotyVayle

I have had a history of some minor but very pesky infections, and they often involve spending hours at the emergency room to see someone since it’s rare in New York to be able to see my doctor on short notice. For yeast infections and urinary tract infections, strep throat and more, I love being able to hop online and be seen by a doctor without it completely derailing my day! Great app!

Welcome to the 21st century!

This is a great solution for those minor annoyances. A quick call and no sitting in a waiting room. I am a cancer patient and I don’t need to be exposed to any more germs! Dr was efficient, wait time acceptable, connection worked well. I will use as needed in the future.

Waste

Pretty much paid 50 dollars to be told “go see a real doctor”

Better than doctor on demand

Fast and easy! Happy that I set this up. I rarely become ill and this is convenient when not wanted to spend a million due to the High Deductible Health Plan. I recommend!!!

Rushed as fast as possible

I love the concept but he couldn’t get me off the phone fast enough. $65 for maybe 5 minutes, I did get the prescription I needed.
