Do it!

My coworker told me about Amwell. It literally took all of 15 mins to get the app, load it with my insurance and payment and pharmacy details AND speak with the doctor. She asked all the same questions your doctor would face to face and understood what I was feeling. I didn’t have to sit in a germy waiting room. The cost was amazing and I got the help I needed. For non emergent visits such as colds or fevers this will always be my go-to moving forward.

Too much

They wanted way too much information was not even relevant my migraines. And all I wanna do is keep track of them I don’t wanna record every little detail which isn’t going to help me at all. I just want a record.

Worth writing a review

This app was provided through my employer. As a medical professional, I found the physicians very knowledgeable and practical. Visits took less than 5 minutes and were able to be completed from the comfort of my living room. Prescriptions are sent via e-script and my pharmacy had no problems. A real technological asset.

Efficient for Non Emergent Care

I have had sinus issues for about a week and the online Care did a thorough and efficient job of diagnosing and developing a care plan. So nice to not go to an Urgent care and get exposed to more.

Excellent Care Alternative

I have had a severe sinus infection for 10 days and has been progressively worse. I got up today and was coughing so I knew I had to go in. I got up and looked out the window and... it had snowed 5 inches! Feeling miserable and not wanting to shovel, I tried Amwell. The intake process was super easy, the physician was extremely polite, helpful and knowledgeable and the entire visit from registration to completion was less than 20 minutes. I still have to go pick up my prescription, but there’s less of a pressure on that. Had I not gotten into my PCP (I suspect I would not have), it would have taken me about 40 minutes to do my front steps and walk and clean off my truck, 20 minutes to drive to an urgent care and who knows how long in the waiting room with all the other sick people! As a paramedic, we are constantly trying to bridge the gap between the lack of access to health care to reasonable options that doesn’t require an expensive ambulance and emergency room visit for minor ailments or injuries. I would definitely recommend this service to my patients who are looking for an alternative.

Very Impressed!

Just used Amwell for the 1st time (had never even heard of it until I was checking my insurance benefits online & saw that I only have a $15 copay for telemedicine & was connected to Amwell)...great experience! Easy to get started, cheap, & Dr. Emily Clagg was very nice & helpful! I had cold symptoms for almost 2 weeks recently & was clearing up, but started having a pretty rough, intermittent, chesty cough a few days ago. My doctor didn’t have any openings & they don’t take walk-ins, so I decided to give this a try versus paying $75 for an urgent care visit. Dr. Clagg had me give her a deep cough, & she immediately said she was leaning toward bronchitis (which I’d suspected), & sent Rx’s for a steroid, Mucinex, & antibiotics if I develop a fever to the pharmacy of my choice. I will DEFINITELY use Amwell again!

Waisted my time and money

Just a big waste of time and money when what you really need to do or what they’re going to tell you to do go to another doctor I walking clinic or something now I’m out $56 and I still don’t have the anabiotic’s I need

Convenient but...

I was away from home and miserable with a cold that had gone into my ears. I knew that if I went to urgent care the visit would be $100 and they’d just tell me to wait it out because it wasn’t infected yet. As I thought the Dr. I spoke with here said just that and didn’t prescribe an anti biotic. but was able to call in a steroid and only cost me $40 for the visit. My own Doc. Costs me $150 a visit so I don’t even go there. I rated this app a 4 because there are 2 things I don’t like. One the dr had a slight accent that was a tiny bit hard to understand and two I wish they checked back in 3 days to see if symptoms have lessened or there was a way to ask the dr. A question that I missed when I was on the phone with her. Otherwise is has been a good option for my budget.
