Amica refused today insure my new home because it was built in 1979. Amica is the only insurance company I ever used and my parents also when I was under there policy. After 40 years amica is making me find another company for my cars and home and I am upset. I feel that amica doesn’t care about all the years that I was a good customer and always paid my bills on time. This policy about not insuring homes older than 1979 is not fair. This home is CBC and has been hit with hurricanes and it’s as strong as ever but you say no. I say good luck amica and I plan on adding this to social media to express my thoughts. The representative that I spoke to initially wasn’t aware there was criteria that I met and my house to have it insured. I am a very happy amica customer. Thank you Steven Zerger for your help.
