Amazing app

It’s missing one star because there seems to be some functionality mismatch between the mobile app and the website. E.G., ‘tags’ that you enter in the mobile app can’t be used online because the tags in the app support hyphens / special characters but the website can’t and gives an error. (Whatever I create in the app should be supported in the website companion. Just makes sense. Also: the website companion isn’t nearly as intuitive as the mobile app. I’ll update this review as I notice changes in the discrepancies.)

This app used to be fine. All it has to do is allow me to capture and match receipts to my expenses. But something changed recently and perfectly fine pictures are now not uploading and any efforts to redo makes no difference. So frustrating I want to throw my phone away

Needs to be rolled into main app

Wm.

Why have two apps? Why not just see the transactions and enter photos from the main app?! Why can’t this app do a “scan” and not take a photo of everything but do it. More like a document scan like the Note app does?

I have been using this for almost two years. I’ve never had an issue with it until about two months ago. Now it will not attach a receipt to a transaction. I’ve tried it on android and iPhone, called the help desk and they asked me why I wanted to use it for matching my receipts. Really?! Isn’t that what it’s supposed to be for? They had me uninstall and reinstall it. It worked one time and back to the same error message. It is worthless now. Not worth logging in to even try it.

Unstable and commonly inoperable. Reloaded it several time so it will work only to have it revert and fail again and again. No real alternative but it’s not a well made app

The app will not allow you to match a receipt image to a pending charge. Who wants to hold a receipt for a day or two before being able to upload it. Doesn’t that defeat the purpose?

Very Flawed

This app is very flawed. Multiple times, I’ve matched receipts from my phone. Close app, reopened, verified receipt was there. Even logged into full website, verified receipt was attached. Two days later, receipt has disappeared. I will not be using this app anymore until this problem is corrected.

Deleted my receipts

Been using this app for a while. Sometimes when you try to attach a receipt you get an error. Seems to be fairly common at least for me. Also. Had a months worth of receipts saved and when I went to create a report at the end of the month. They were GONE!! Lots of bugs and very frustrating. Currently will only let me sign in 1 out of every 2 or 3 attempts. Saying server problems.

Receipts disappear

It’s infuriating to go through a day a receipts and then three days later they disappear. I am forced to deal with inputting receipts multiple times due to this bug. When I called about it I was told to delete the app and reinstall it. No help. You would think AMEX could figure this feature out since it seems like the whole point of the app.

Great Idea. Execution Needs Improvement

+ Match receipts on the go without needing to keep paper copy or take photo in camera roll + Create tag rules on the website to automatically tag transactions - Pictures captured while transaction is pending are erased upon the transaction posting - Can only print 15 receipts at a time when creating expense reports and have to manually click each receipt to add it Erasing the image of a pending receipt when the transaction posts successfully is a big problem. The reason I use this app is so I don’t have to worry about holding onto paper receipts or cluttering my camera roll. I normally take a picture right after I perform the transaction, which is typically when a transaction is pending. Having the image of the receipt erase after the transaction officially posts defeats the purpose of the app.
