Graphs runoff the side of the screen

Ec346742

The app does a pretty good job at the key functions you would expect for reviewing the Air quality stats and data, but unfortunately the graphs are cut off so you can’t actually see the current value on the time series graph because it is clipped off the side of the screen. If you slide the screen partly sideways but keeping your finger on the screen, you can get in-between the graphs and actually see the current value but obviously this is not user-friendly. It would be great if the graph fit within the screen and had a little bit of buffer so you could see the current value.

Works perfectly as advertised

I’ve had my Airthings Wave plus since September 11 and it has worked flawlessly since then. The data collected is accurate and was compared to radon mitigation companies expensive tools. The only request I have is for an app update and graph ease-of-use.

Too invasive, returning products

I bought the View Plus. This app (and an Airthings account) is required to set up the device. I installed the app then read the App Privacy details. There is no reason an app for an air quality monitor needs my browsing history and there is no reason the app should be tracking me at all. How about making an app that doesn’t store data in the cloud and instead lets me connect to the device on my LAN? How about respecting privacy and not turning a good device into a Trojan horse meant to collect data in your users? I actually bought 2 View Plus units, one was to be a gift. I’m returning both, sorry about the ripped box on the one I opened but at least I didn’t pull the battery tab.

iPad landscape support

App works good on iPad except it doesn’t support landscape mode, please add so that you don’t need to flip iPad around each time to check on the sensors. Thank you.

Collects & Tracks Web Browsing History

Reviewer262626

App lists in the App Store that it tracks browsing history and links it to your identity even though such a function is completely unnecessary for its purpose. There appears to be no privacy settings to disable this and nothing in the App’s privacy policy state that this is occurring, why it is taking place, or what they are doing with the data.

App could be more useable

I just got two airthings devices. + The setup through the app work quickly and easily. - The app itself doesn't let me get to the info I want easily enough. The "all devices" page is particularly bad. That's where I expected to go to glance at all my readings at once. Instead that page dedicates real estate to: a large amount of text that says "up to date" (could be accomplished without taking up half the pane), the model name (why is this important to show in top level UI?), and wether or not device is a "hub" (who needs a continuous reminder of this?). Please just show me the air quality levels there - that's what people buy this device to do. - The graphs are also a bit difficult to use. I can't tell at what time outlier readings happened. Useful device - data it collects could be displayed much better.

Does not work

Just purchased a View Plus. I try to add it though the app and says there is a network error. The link it gives you for customer support is also broken. I can’t use it at all.

Doesn’t sync

Impact wonder

Item doesn’t sync I have to constantly take the batteries out and reset it over and over again.

Privacy Nightmare

Airthings seriously needs to explain why they’re tracking the browsing history of their users. This is a gross violation of trust.

Technology lacks

Farmsnake

Device seems to be working but not as advertised. I wasn’t able register for the app required to fully use the device. The companies tech support is also just a bot which is of minimal use.
