Doesn’t work

I have an older Mac. I thought I’d try this since sidecar isn’t supported on my Mac. Turns out it just crashes my computer, doesn’t work as a monitor and windows is not supported. Don’t get this app it doesn’t work at all. Wasted my 9.99
Amazing Productivity!

Using my iPad as a second monitor is imperative for my work. I had trouble with Apple Sidecar so I needed an easy option without any drag between the screens. Air Display 3 is that solution! I absolutely love it! Customer support is amazing. I experienced some difficulty setting up Air Display and Pip from Avatron responded quickly and helped me through the issue. In the end it resulted from a Catalina OS update versus being an issue with Air Display. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this app for any developer, designer, entrepreneur or busy human!
Very Buggy, Barely Useable

I have a MacBook Air running latest Catalina. Very buggy so far. The install took twice to work. My iPad is recognized about 50% of the time, even when connected via USB. Gets “stuck” in sharing mode, meaning you can’t “unshare” your screen. Weird handling of screen resolutions. I wouldn’t use this software if it was free.

When I initially purchased this app, the required mac OS driver would cancel with a “not compatible” error. Months after leaving a bad review, the developer finally reached out and was pleasant. Unfortunately the proposed work around was fairly involved, and I personally did not see it as a legitimate method due to potential risks. I’m happy to see it seems to be up and working great!

Another old macbook user here, with no access to sidecar for my iPad. This works really well. The wired display is snappier than the wireless, but having wireless is convenient at times. Helpful tech support solved a minor issue. Tip: if you want usb as your main connection, you don’t need to (and shouldn’t) activate “connect automatically.” Use that if you want to connect to WiFi automatically.
Working again if you are willing to give up privacy

After reading some reviews I found a review that had the fix for Airdisplay not working properly. A security update in Catalina is the culprit. Under privacy settings you have to allow Airdisplay to be able to record your screen even when you are not using the app. This is not Avatron’s doing but Apple’s. Good job Apple!!! I would say this is a security setback and not an update. Not worth the invasion of privacy. No reflection on Avatron, they have been updating their app. Airdisplay is not the only app to do this either, Duet has the same setting requirements to work. I changed my review because I thought it to be unfair to Avatron. My dissatisfaction is with Apple and I’m becoming more dissatisfied with them the longer time goes on. Apple deserves 0 stars on this one. Two thumbs down to you Apple.

This app is great to turn an Ipad into a second display Using the iPad then to sketch in photoshop is however not fluid with my iMac 2014. There is a significant delay between touching the display and then drawing.

Found that the app is an easy setup and works really well in both Mojave and Catalina. Smooth transition when moving windows from Mac to iPad with scaling to fit display which is superior to other similar apps.

Terrible app. It kept crashing and the screens had such a big delay. Tried multiple times to simple read a document and the app kept crashing. Wish I could get my money back.
Mac won’t display now

I installed the host drivers on my MacPro and after the reboot. I don’t have any display. I VNC’d into my machine on my iPad (thank god I have that setup) and I am trying to fix it, but even if I do, no output after installing your drivers is unacceptable.
