I bought Air Display 3 for the sole purpose of being able to use my iPad Air 2 as a wireless mirrored display for my Retina iMac. I was hoping to be able to run many of my MacOS apps using the iPad display. The result is absolutely terrible. Despite extremely fast wi-fi many apps would even open completely when using the app. They will start to open and then the spinning color wheel just spins until I eventually have to go to my iMac and force quit the app. Also, for some reason the top menu bar on the mirrored iPad display is all black (I assume it is showing black text on a black bar which is not what my iMac displays). If I move the cursor on the iPad to the location on the black bar where a menu item should be (i.e., the Apple icon, File, Edit, etc) and select I will get the dropdown menu, but it is trial and error trying to find the right icon (since it is obviously black text on black background). Even the aspects of the app that do work have extreme lag, again making this app virtually unusable. I really wanted this app to be as good as some of the reviews state, but for me it will be deleted. I just wish I could get back the wasted $9.99 I just spent on it. It might work in other instances for people with different Apple computers and/or different needs, but for me it was a waste.

Crashes Display Preference pane. User cannot designate which device is main screen. Unusable in present state. Reply from Support: Unfortunately you're running into a known bug in Sierra's Displays preference pane. We believe this bug affects all virtual displays, not just Air Display. We've reported the bug to Apple and hope have been hoping that they are able to fix it in a near-term macOS software update. A few days ago, I got an email saying that the bug I reported has been closed. There's no way to tell whether that means it has been closed with a disposition of "Fixed" or "Will Not Fix" or "Not a Bug." But we're hopeful that it's going to be fixed in macOS 10.12.3, which is in beta now.

very unpredictable performance customer service is non-existent you better off writing a software yourself! It constantly drops you out and you have to go back from asratch and fix it. every time something new. Sometimes I have no isea how it gets fixed. Sometimes it doesnt and in a fews days starts working on it’s own dont waste your money
I Really Dig This
I read other reviews that didn't like this app. Not sure why because my experience is excellent! Well worth the $9.99 tag. I use it for Photoshop to give me more real estate on my MacBook Pro by moving the tools over to my second screen (iPad.)

Tried using it on Windows 8.1 laptop and doesn't find the device. Tried cable, wireless and doesn't find it. Wish I could get my money back.

Looks to me the dev took $$ and ran. Haven't seen any update for awhile. The app is buggy at best.

You people should propably make this combatiple with Windows. Not everyone has 10,000 dollars to buy a Mac.
