Ketchapp makes so many amazing games all so addicting!!!!

not so much puzzle, as it is a rng emulator

........................

The game claims that it is a puzzle game. This would imply that is requires a strategic course of thought in order to solve. This is not 100% true as the generation of tiles relies on a random number generator to consider where the tile is placed, and what value is represented. for this reason, this game becomes frustrating more than rewarding since it requires luck.

I remember playing this game a yer or two ago and having a blast doing it! It's not your average game, in tha it is extremely simple yet challenging. I spent hours playing this game after I found out it does go on beyond 2048. Not only is this a fun game, but it is fun to brag about to your friends when you beat their score or when they fail to beat yours. It's one of those weirdly competitive games that you really want from an app

no crash, no ads

plaintiger

like Umrk111, i've never seen a single add in 2048, nor has it crashed on me, and I just figured out why: there are multiple versions of this game, from multiple developers, and I got lucky and downloaded one that has no ads and doesn't crash. search for 2048 in the app store and you'll find a bunch of different versions; may be one of those will work better for you. one of the ways I deduced this was that I went to review this version and the app store told me I had to have purchased or downloaded it in order to review it. I had to download this version – which showed up on my home screen right next to the version i actually play – in order to put this review here. and now that I have, I'll delete this version and keep on playing my ad-free and crashless one. ???

Good but....

I have two complaints. First, the "personal best scores" feature doesn't actually do that. It only records a new score when it's a new personal best. If you follow such a score with one one point lower, it ignores what is actually your second-best score. So all I really know is what my best is. Second, I don't like the unpredictable nature of where the next tile will appear. I keep my highest tile in the lower-left corner and try to avoid ever swiping up or right. Usually, when I'm forced to swipe up it's because I made a tactical error. But if my bottom row isn't full and I can't swipe down or left, I swipe right if possible. If I'm unlucky my new tile appears in the lower-left corner. In threes, you have a measure of control over where a new tile will appear, but in 2048 it seems completely random. If my highest tile is 1024 or lower, I can usually recover but when it's 2048 or above I seldom succeed. I haven't figured out a way to prevent this and it's frustrating because it's inherently a good game in progress when it happens.
