Does not protect user accounts – Instagram Review

Instagram allows hackers to take over profiles, then send out password reset links to your friends via friendly looking meme messages so they can take over their profiles. It has no system of reclaiming your profile even if you have all the proof in the world it's yours. It's horrible watching people's memories and photo collections go to junk for this reason. To follow insult to injury, once the victim's profiles have been hacked, Facebook, ugh umm I mean Instagram doesn't shut the infected profiles down even if you report it and continues to let the hackers go after folks in your friends message. Its a junk system in this time and era of social networking.
