E-mail address – Google Review

Why does google keep me from using my e-mail address I’ve had for over 20 years? Asked me for my password, didn’t accept any of old or new. Said E- mail address already taken :yes, it’s me that has that address: now I can’t get e-mail from anybody. Can anybody fix this? They asked for 6 digit code, says all wrong code when I typed the numbers,
