Very deceitful – Hotels.com: Travel Booking Review

I selected the cancellation insurance and because I paid on the app I was charged for the reservation term even though I checked in at 11:30 pm the first day of my reservation and checked out the next day at 10:50 due to vomiting issues I had. I was charged for 3 more days at $115.00 a night. I’ve called Hotels customer service and billing department and they had me call the hotel and talk to their owner for them. Still I’m out the money. Do not pay on line through Hotels app. Now I’m supposed to contact Hotels insurance company to get my money back from them if they decide I was sick if not I am out my “Cancelation Money”. I was told by an employee from Hotels app to only pay at the hotel never on line. It has been 2 months and I’m not giving up! Don’t use Hotels.com just call the hotel directly!
