Too many annoyances – FLIR ONE Review

All pictures taken with the app are branded with a watermark. Flur cameras are highly priced cameras and not Facebook where you are the product. Mass selection cannot be done using swipe as in photos app. You have to tap each photo manually. What a waste of my time. Remember, I paid for this! No pinch zoom while browsing photos. Landscape mode does not work when looking at an image with details. It works in edit mode and in full screen preview. No sensible reason for this. Forward and backward gestures do not work in full screen preview mode. They do when viewing photos in detailed mode. I always have to leave full screen landscape mode to portrait mode to go to the next/prev photo. Again, what a waste of my time. Editing a photo, move a measurement point into the scale on the right and you’ll never be able to move it again. Oh my… A rubbish bin is set to some areas of the photo so you cannot move your measurement points to that area or they’ll get deleted. There’s a clumsy workaround in which you need to change orientation to place the measurement at the right place but that clumsy and again, a waste of my time. Measurement spots only show the temperature while moving the spot if you have only one spot enabled. If you have multiple the temperature is only shown once you place the spot. It’s not shown while moving. Moving a measurement spot the temperature is shown unter your finger moving the spot so most of the time you cannot really tell what the current temp is while dragging. Adjusting the normal and IR camera alignments only works for one dimension. Sometimes the alignment is off in two dimensions and there’s no way to adjust it. Other than that, the hardware seems ok. The app and its restrictions are horrible.
