Egypt - again? – Slitherine's Legion Review

This is just Egypt with slightly better graphics. I've been playing strategy games all my life and this is totally elusive. The tutorial is useless and the manual doesn't give you any information " now" just "later". I have been playing Battle Academy since it came out and I can't believe the same company made it! Rome Total War is what I hoped for and this is a very poor shadow of that. I think a tutorial that walks you through the economics is vital and then you can suffer through the ridiculously limited "battle orders" that give you almost no control at all unless you love going straight forward. I'm updating this after two weeks of frustrating play. The game has all the right elements but is very difficult to play since it is hard to know how to do what you need to do. There should be a city/building management tutorial as well as one for battle tactics, fortifying and resource management. After two weeks of slogging through the mud I still don't feel like I know how to develop the strategy I elect. I have finally learned how to manage the economy. This is an incredibly subtle game with unlimited options. I love it!
