Great Game, Needs Retina Graphics – Slitherine's Legion Review

I had this game for PC years ago, I like it better on the iPad -- very addictive and challenging. The resource and planning aspect is fun, but not insanely difficult like in Hearts of Iron. The battle sequences are my favorite part, you set up your units with a plan and then hope for the best. There is somewhat of a formula to winning the battles, but it all comes down to tactics, quality of your units, combined arms, and environment. When you have it all you can win some pretty disparate battles, which is half the fun for me! On the other hand, if you screw it up, you can lose an entire (expensive) army in the blink of an eye. Only thing I'd like to see are more maps, maybe a map generator, and updated/Retina graphics -- though the graphics really aren't that bad, it looks exactly as it did on my PC 10 years ago.
