Please!!! Bring back the pre-March ‘21 App!! – ShopWoodmans Review

I used this app for about 2 years. It was a 5-star app and ever-improving. Then in Feb-Mar 21 there was a major change. Not in the User Interface but the underlying programming as evidenced by performance. It borders on unusable now. I don’t think I’m unusual that I keep a list of frequently purchased items and then un-check the one’s I’m buying today. (Search is time-consuming and the “fuzzy” logic is not even pre-Google so a word-order difference /can/ result in nothing found.) Anyway, currently the program does not handle remembering what is checked and un-checked so I’ll make a shopping list, go to the store, and find the list missing. Or, strangely, it will bring up some past list. Or sometimes it /will/ remember. But every time I think I’ve discovered a work-around, it will fail again. But not always. Just 70% of the time. I’ve contacted the company three times in the last six months about this, begging them to fix the app or return to the early 2021 code base. I’ve already complied with the coders request for detailed usage info (memo to Woodman’s: save your keystrokes of ‘responsive concern’; I will not respond again). I used the “contact” feature to make a blind ask. I emailed the store manager imploring them to contact the CIO because the state of the app is killing their reputation. To no avail. So I’m left to join the legion of recent 1 and 2 star reviews. If you have any complexity to your use you will be disappointed. I know what the app was: Just revert. I implore you Woodman’s. (This is not OS-specific since iOS and Android exhibit identical behavior—I used able to make my list on iPad and shop on Android. Ahhh the halcyon days past…)
