Works very poorly when on data – Google Review

If I’m on WiFi, searches are quick, the little info things that come up by default are there instantly, etc. when I am on data (and yes, I have cellular data turned in for the app), searches rarely resolve. The info things never come up. I usually get a “something went wrong, try again later” message. Is Google not supposed to work when on data? I can’t figure this out. Very annoying.
