An incredible addition to any iPhone – Timepage by Moleskine Studio Review

Over the years I have slowly returned, app by app, to Apples native options. I’m always eager to try new calendars, list apps, note pads, etc., but usually I end up returning because the functionality of a third party app has never outweighed the hassle of setting up a new calendar. This app changes everything, and the studio suite even more so. The calendar is very intuitive, bringing together all calendars you have saved to the iPhone’s system seamlessly and without the usual required permissions. To use the entire studio cost only $20 per year, or the calendar alone $12 per year ($1 per month) and is easily worth every penny. I enjoy the interconnectedness of the Moleskine Studio so I have also downloaded Actions and Flow as part of the studio bundle. My only gripes so far are that the how-to page seems slightly out of date, and the quick actions from the 3D press of the Home Screen icon do not always work properly. For instance, the Weather quick action does not open Weather within Timepage, it simply opens the Timepage app as a normal press would have done. Even so, the widgets for the home screen or the left swipe information panel are quite useful. They are interactive so you can actually browse around within the widget without actually opening the app. Most widgets I’ve encountered so far are quite limited as to what one can actually do within the widget before the app is called open. I feel this greatly increases the usefulness of any widget. This app is one of the most sophisticated calendars I’ve ever used. I doubt I will return to iCal or even Google Calendar for mobile. This is what an app is supposed to be.
