Unbalanced and uninteresting. – Battles of 1944 Review

I'm a huge fan of the tower defense genre and will download just about any game that fits the bill. This game is just awful, though. No balance whatsoever. No indicator of where enemies will approach from, thus necessitating a first run and restart to get things placed right and even easy mode is tough right off the bat! By the second mission it seems that unless you happen to know the exact magical placing and deployment that the dev intends for you to discover, you'll start taking damage in the very first wave! Not to mention that only having three "towers" is pretty lazy on their part. Even within the confines of WW2 technology, it should be easy to make more tower types. A flamethrower? Some mortar guys? A bazooka wielding soldier? Sniper? And that's just off the top of my head. I'm glad this game was free.
