Long Time User Disappointed – Automatic CCA Review

TLDR: Connects at random sometimes 10 minutes into drive. Engine code reset coming later apparently. Forced upgrade from old adapter (if they did it to me they will do it to you). So I am someone who was forced to upgrade from original Automatic adapter to the CCA. I also have convinced a lot of my friends to purchase the pro adapters. Overall I’m not happy with this experience right now. This thing connects at random. I can be 10 minutes into my drive until it finally finds a signal. I’m now starting to get incorrect data because of this. Yes as you may know from the reviews you can’t reset codes now. This is a huge disappointment because it is the main reason I purchased the original adapter in the first place. These other features were just icing on cake. I know you said it’s coming guys, but do you really want to disappoint long time loyal customers like this? You already forced me out of my old adapter. No more audio cues from the adapter like the original adapter. I enjoyed hearing it connect and tell me I am going too fast. Not a big deal, but still I miss it. I will say the visual interface is an improvement. I like being able to track past code issues and it seems a little more clean. Overall I have huge buyers remorse right now. I was already upset I had to buy a new adapter, but I didn’t expect to get a device that feels like a downgrade at times with features I had now coming soon or not even there. Furthermore, just look at the corners that have been cut now. Sirius is really trying to get money here. The adapter feels cheaper than last models and the packaging is pretty weak compared to what you would use to get from past models. I don’t know if I can recommend automatic to my friends anymore.
