Horrible Customer Service – Green Dot - Mobile Banking Review

Saw the commercial on TV and thought the 3% APR sounded a lot better than the current 2.1% I am currently receiving so I signed up. Yes, I jumped too quickly before researching... after reading a few reviews and finding out there was a high monthly fee and seeing bad reviews, I decided to cancel my account. Of course there is no way to cancel your account on their web site so I called and was on hold 30 minutes (the first time). The CSR I spoke with was very hard to understand and kept saying “Ummmm” and “Uhhhhhh” repeatedly. He wouldn’t cancel my account even though the website says in order to cancel make sure you have a zero balance and to call the number. He had to idea what he was talking about and then refused to transfer my call to a supervisor. I eventually hung up on him and called back. I am currently on hold AGAIN waiting for 27 minutes so far. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO MY WORST ENEMY!
