App got hacked in identity theft. – Green Dot - Mobile Banking Review

App got hacked. It was fine for several years. Then it started to register purchases to iTunes - like 10 at one time but with no charge. At that time I could get a play back of purchases by calling the card number - it skipped over the fake charges . It was.also registering small Uber charges near actual charges. I thought. It was a test if I had money on the card. Then a notice came on the screen congratulating me on my having 30 transactions so no charge for March. They never did that before. And all those ITunes charges disappeared. So when Green Dot said in the app it was disputing my account. I hadn’t paid since the begining of the year. But I had cash in the account they could have withdrawn anytime and usually did. Calling the card number that used to respond only said if I lost a card hit 1. I kept trying to get a person. Finally I hit lost card to get a person. I got an auto voice telling method is for lost cards only if you hit one again we’ll cancel your card and send you a new one. This was my first taste that when you get identity theft, you get treated like a criminal. It’s been a nightmare. People don’t believe you. So that’s probably how a sophisticated computer hack works. They bring you in so you look like a co-conspirator. But I was disappointed when it Green Dot couldn’t even answer their phone. I
