Good- but 1 class favored – Ambar's Fate Review

First of all story-wise the game is rich. Well translated (besides a couple of places remaining in Spanish). The mechanics rely a bit too much on luck- each adversary rolling a die and adding attack or defense, that’s fine but I wish it would be more like a D&D AC situation- the better the armor the higher the AC to hit, rather than comparing dice- that are a lot more luck based. Having a higher AC through story progression would make more sense. My main disappointment with the game is that it is a lot more difficult to complete as a ranger than a warrior. If you focus on strength and stamina, you will get through encounters a lot easier- even with 2 ennemies. Also, the fact that resting restores 30% of health means that as a warrior with more health to begin with, you are ahead of the game. Example: couldn’t get through a fight with 2 heavily armed ennemies with my ranger, destroyed them as a warrior. You do more damage, so you have to survive less rounds of defense and thus lose less health. Besides this main default, the game is overall very rich and I’ve been entertained. Which is what I was looking for!
