Cox sign in issues/ HMDI casting issues – Science Channel GO Review

when i first downloaded the app, it asked to use my cox account to unlock more episodes, and i hit allow. the little loading symbol pops up for two or three seconds, then disappears, and then nothing. i opened the side bar and at the bottom it says “sign in to your tv provider”, i click it, and the same thing happens. no error message or anything, and still not signed in. i downloaded the ‘discovery go’ app as well, and it does the EXACT SAME THING. i have an iphone 7 and i use an apple brand lightning cable to hdmi adapter to cast to my tv. i have never had any issues with playback on my hulu, netflix, youtube, a&e app, or any other app i’ve used. for some reason, i can start an episode of a show and it plays fine UNTIL i pause the video to open another app, or i unplug the cord for whatever reason. the problem is when i try to resume the video, the picture plays on my phone, but ONLY the sounds plays on my tv, and the screen stays black. as with the issue with signing in, the discovery channel app does the same thing. please fix this bug.
