Terrible customer service. – DoorDash - Food Delivery Review

Typically I don’t leave reviews but in this case I must. It seemed like an extremely awesome idea to have my choice of restaurant delivered to my door. That just wasn’t the case, I couldn’t even get an order placed. What happened was I put together an order for Applebee’s. Once all of my items were in the cart I proceeded to “checkout”. The app was in its loading process which never completed. Infinite load sequence, after about 3 minutes I closed the app and re opened it. The order was still in the shopping cart as if I never checked out or paid. I checked my bank account to see if I was charged and of coarse I was. So I called Applebee’s to see if they received the order while thinking it was just a technical error. Well, they never received the order nor had any orders facilitated with DoorDash. So I called customer support for doordash and it was an extreme headache. I explained what happened about 3 times while he reiterated it back to me to confirm roughly three times. Seemed like I was on it’s a small world at Disney World, over and over and over and over. Finally the phone call came to an end. The conclusion was I received an email indicating I would receive a response in 2 business days. It has now been 3 business days and only 2 hours away from 4. Usually this wouldn’t be a big deal but it just doesn’t seem professional at all. I have no choice but to have my bank handle the situation at this point simply because it doesn’t seem like doordash is handling it. The problem is amplified because it was my first time ever using this service and it completely backfired. It is unacceptable for this to be happening in 2018. Zero stars in my opinion but I must leave at least one. FYI it was a charge of $46.94. Pretty steep for nothing at all.
