A flaw to address – myQ Garage & Access Control Review

When it connects to the remote server, it works well. Unfortunately, too often I arrive to the outside of my garage and see a failure to connect. Recent server outage (6/7/18) confirmed that the app connects to a far away server to send a command to the door opener. It would make sense for the app to use the existing WiFi connection to open the door when the phone is within the range of the network; most people usually have a decent signal just outside of their garages... This would keep the app working, even if the remote server was out as it happened today.
