Read this if you can’t pair your camera on iOS – SnapBridge Review

My phone had become unpaired and I couldn’t re-pair but I finally got it to work. The problem was with a complicated UI where you have to go back and forth between the phone and camera pressing buttons on both, and I had kept missing the last step. During the pairing process there’s a step where you choose a camera. This camera name should match the name displayed on your camera’s screen. Then the camera displays a code and that code should be displayed in SnapBridge. Choose it, and the app will say “Pairing...”. Now you have to go back to the camera and press “OK” on the camera screen for the pairing process to complete. That last sentence is the one I had kept missing before. I suspect now I’ll go back to the happy state I was in earlier where the camera automatically has correct time stamps, GPS coordinates and photos magically appear in the Photos app. I’ll update my rating from 1 star to 3 but I can’t go to 5 because the setup process is so painful. I bet most of the other 1 star reviewers are having the same problem as me. Nikon, you should add a video to the help page.
