Nice iPad app, not a total sub for a good book – iBird Pro Guide to Birds Review

The pluses (sounds, photos and drawings) and the wealth of info are very useful. But, searching takes time to learn to use effectively and efficiently. Thumbing through a good blood can often be more intuitive and faster. I lament the loss of Months as a search option since many birds are not year around residents. The time of year in very important, thus four not five stars.
