Forever to open app, poor GUI logic – DIRECTV Review

I know it is my TV and I can take it with me. That is why I have the app! I do t need to stare at that screen for 5 seconds and another 5 seconds to do all the while login check. Once you make it in, there are a number of inconsistencies. For intense the live tv will start streaming a channel in portrait mode but if you click on another channel it then takes you to a screen when you have to click that you want to watch it on your phone (why would I not want to watch it on my phone if I am using the app on the phone???). There is no way to just click on a live channel and have it start playing in portrait mode. If you exit the app to check email it won’t play in the background either so a whole lot of steps to get back to where you were. It is a good start but given where Xfinity is, they need to rethink the app and how it all flows and works.
