Not ready for prime time – Bang & Olufsen Review

I have 3 A3 speakers. I wish for them to always, always be grouped and play the same music as they cover a large room. In fact I want 2 of them to be paired for stereo ala Sonos. This is not possible. Every time you need to use the speakers you need to manually group them in this app THEN go play your music in Spotify. Needless to say this is something nobody in the household wants to deal with, meaning we end up listening to one speaker only. This is just one of many problems. The combination of the speakers not connecting to the network, or only randomly connecting makes you think this setup is not ready to be sold to the broader public. This app is centered around the idea that people are using it to play music. That is obviously NOT how most people want to play their jams. You really just want an app to setup your speakers, then forget about them. B&O has an enormous amount of useless apps out to confuse you, none of them work well. Beoplay for example tells you that you can’t play music from A6’s on them, pointing you to this app. Or pointing you to the BeoSetup app to fiddle around setting them up. Why not just have ONE F app!? Lastly at this point, the most useful thing this app could help me with is rebooting the speakers so I wouldn’t have to stand on a chair and yank out the cable. Every day. Several times a day. Sadly this functionality does not exist.
